What is Epilepsy?
Epilepsy is an extreme medical condition that produces seizures that affect both physical and mental functions. When a person has two unjustified seizures, they are considered to have epilepsy. These seizures can last from a few seconds to a few minutes. Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder in the United States. A total of 65 million people around the world have epilepsy, and 3 million of those live in the U.S.
Out of those 3 million people, 130,000 of those with epilepsy live in the Chicagoland area.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome challenges created by epilepsy.
By raising awareness, we can help to overcome this disease that affects peoples lives every day.

Easter Egg Dash
In honor of the holiday, there will be an Easter Egg Dash for kids 10 and under. The Egg Dash starts at 9:00 a.m shortly after registration ends. Kids will have a chance to compete for the most eggs with surprises inside. Come out with the family for some Easter fun!
Additional Information
There will be plenty of food and drinks available and provided for the event. Photographers will be on campus to take pictures during the Easter Egg Dash and the race. Try to arrive early for registation!
