Race for Recovery

2014 marks the 19th Anniversary for the Race for Recovery and the 25th Anniversary for HOPE! The event began in 1995 and has raised almost $900,000 in direct support for Saskatchewan cancer patients and their families. The Race for Recovery is a Saskatoon based fundraising event led by volunteers.

This Year We Honour the Clavet Composite School

This year’s race honours all HOPE’s dedicated supporters at Clavet Composite School and the families and businesses in Clavet.

A bit of HOPE History. . . “Creative brainstorming by teaching colleagues resulted in organizing a pre-Race for Recovery on September 28, 2001 in Clavet. Three HOPE members were invited to join 600 students, staff and residents walk on a pleasant fall afternoon in the nearby rural countryside. The students gleaned $4320.75 from their surrounding community.” HOPE Headlines, October 2001.

During their thirteen years participating in the HOPE Race for Recovery, Clavet students raised more than $50,000.00. Sincere thanks for your ongoing support and compassion for people coping with cancer.
